Get in to Perhentian Island

The name of the Company is PERHENTIAN TRANS HOLIDAY SDN BHD. The Registered Office of the Company will be situated in Malaysia which is in Kuala Besut, Terengganu. The company is a private company and was incorporate under The Companies Act, 1965 on 12 September 2014. The objects for which the Company is established are:

1. Perhentian Island can be accessed from Kuala Besut. This would be the usual entry point.
2. You can get to Kuala Besut from either Kota Baru town, Kota Bharu Airport & Kuala Terengganu Airport, Tanah Merah train station, Jerteh bus station and Kuala Besut bus station. There are also daily shuttles from Taman Negara and Cameron Highland.
3. The Islands are located around 21 KM from Kuala Besut and can be reached by both speedboat or ferry at the same price (RM70 return).
4. Our boats will take you directly to your destination wherever it maybe on the islands and the trip takes around 30-45 minutes.
5. All travelers to the island, must pay a Marine Park Conservation Charge (Marine Park Ticket) of RM5 for locals and RM30 for foreigners. This ticket is paid at Marine Park counter in the Kuala Besut Jetty, so pay this BEFORE you get on the boat.
6. The Marine Park Conversation Charge ticket claims to be valid for a few days, but in practice it is never asked for and it valid for the length of your stay.

Note: There will be a bumpy ride (by speedboat) depending on the condition of the sea. You may need to disembark in shallow water if there is no jetty at your beach or you have to take the water taxi under your own cost (normally RM2 or waive by your chalet and resort).

Boat Schedule From Kuala Besut to Perhentian Island

• First boat will depart at 8.00 a.m from Kuala Besut, unless special request from a group of customer to depart at 7.00 a.m
• Our boat's schedule is flexible, it might be additional time with additional boat available. Please ask.
• If you arrive at Kuala Besut later than 6.00 p.m and still want to proceed to the island, you may request for one way charter boat with cost RM350 - RM500 per boat and depends on the weather too. And for return, we will provide normal ticket rate. Option, you can stay at Kuala Besut for a night and take next day boat.
